The magnification scale helps ophthalmologists to select the scale of the magnification between 0.6x, 1x, 1.6x. This helps in taking the clear picture of the affected area.

The illuminator of the Slit lamp microscope allows various angles of viewing the eye. Several angle of light focuses sharply on the cornea of the eye and gives a clear and accurate color and size of the position of the lesion or defect in the eye.
